How to unswaddle a baby?
My 8 month old is still swaddled when she goes to sleep. I use one of those Kiddopotamus Swaddle Me blankets. However, she is beginning to move around quite a bit while sleeping, and she manages to undo the swaddle 99% of the time.
How do I get her to sleep without the Swaddle Blanket? I don’t want to ruin her sleep, especially at night, because her hands are free to play.
If she goes to sleep fine with the swaddle blanket, why not just keep doing that? Is she waking herself up when she unswaddles herself? If not, I would just keep swaddling and let her be.
If she wakes herself up, maybe just go into her room or wherever she sleeps and pat her on the belly so she feels you and stops fussing. That always works with my son.
Also, will she go down on her tummy? If she’s rolling, it’s fine to put her on her tummy-babies generally don’t wake themselves up as much that way.
